Our Story

It began with a simple act of faith at Shamalaji Mandir. In the early days, the first Annaksetra operated from the small lanes of Suthar Vadi, where the aroma of freshly cooked meals carried prayers instead of profits. Among those who witnessed the quiet power of service was Bhogikaka, a humble devotee with a big heart. Moved by the sight of the hungry being fed, he approached Mori Thakor Saheb with a simple yet divine request:
“Let there be a place where food is served as devotion, not charity.”
In response, Mori Thakor Saheb did something extraordinary. He donated six acres of land, transferring the ownership for just one rupee, ensuring that Seva would have a permanent home. Years later, the Brahmin community of Tindoi came forward, using the savings from their Katha Seva to rebuild the Annaksetra. Together, they constructed seven rooms and restored the sacred space, transforming it into a center of compassion and nourishment. Today, their legacy lives on. Every afternoon, two hundred to two hundred fifty people share a warm, pure meal prepared with devotion. Each plate served is more than food; it is a prayer in motion, a symbol of love, unity, and faith.

Our Guiding Principles

At the heart of the Laxminarayan Annaksetra Trust lies a simple truth: “To serve humanity is to serve God.” Every grain cooked and every meal served is inspired by the spirit of Seva, faith, and compassion. Through Annadan, community initiatives, and spiritual guidance, we strive to uplift lives with dignity, devotion, and kindness.

Our Vision

We envision a world where no one sleeps hungry, where kindness is a daily ritual, and where Annadan becomes the bridge between faith and humanity.
Our dream is a society grounded in Sanatan Dharma, where compassion unites us and service defines us.

Our Mission

To offer fresh, pure, and selfless meals every day with love, respect, and humility.
We strive to expand our reach so that every devotee, visitor, and family who comes in faith may leave with a full heart and nourished soul.

Our Values

Rooted in devotion and humanity, every effort of our Annaksetra reflects these sacred values:

  • Compassion : Seeing divinity in every being we serve.
  • Integrity : Upholding honesty and transparency in all that we do.
  • Purity : Serving meals prepared with prayer and gratitude.
  • Collective Service : Believing that true Seva is shared service.

Each act of giving is a reflection of faith, and each meal a blessing shared in silence.
